Busy, high quality sheetfed printing company in VA is hiring an experienced Lead Offset Press Operator for 12 hour night shift.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the night shift sheetfed team in printing jobs meeting company quality standards while maintaining optimum speeds and minimal downtime.
Make ready 40" press for job runs to meet specifications, and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the job.
Provide guidance and leadership to the sheetfed team to ensure tasks are completed on-time and effectively.
Assist pressroom manager and pressman with troubleshooting printing issues and QC sign offs.
Train, develop and motivate team members.
Assist pressroom manager and maintenance in the upkeep of machine activity logs and part usage logs
Work with the pressroom manager and plant manager on continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications include:
Minimum 7 -1 0 years' experience operating multi-unit 40" sheetfed offset presses.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience using Continuous Improvement Methods to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Press employee training experience.
Team building skills.
UV experience a plus.
PC proficient (basic skills).
Able to work 7pm - 7am night shift 3 -4 nights/week.
Starting hourly rate $30 - $38 + shift differential, benefits, 401k match and relocation assistance.)
